Lucy is an expert in the history of twentieth-century leisure, health, and beauty with a particular interest - some might say obsession - in the cultural history of radioactivity. She is now the Executive Secretary of the British Society for the History of Science and the Administrator for the Historical Writers’ Association. Lots of historical facts given in a well presented narrative. Amazing to learn how radioactivity was viewed as a good thing for the body and how that perspective changed over time. Very well researched and a good read if you love science and are interested to know about some of its social side also.
