About this listen

My skill set brings all the girls to the yard.

And by yard, I mean the temple of a young goddess who's using me to build a fortified city around herself before the god of war can finish slaying every deity in the heavens.

He'd better not find us before we're ready. Spoiler: We're far from ready.

But hey, I get a cool skill out of it. The goddess allows me to view anyone's strength, vivacity, and other attributes as though they were numbers on a menu and then use their life experiences to make them stronger. I can unlock their special skills, too, and it's all stuff no one else can see.

Hence the girls: a beastkin builder, a negotiatrix made of slime, a half-elf gypsy who charms snakes - and more - seeking safe refuge and a place to belong.

Think our ragtag group can survive a divine onslaught of apocalyptic proportions? I know what I think. Come on in and find out.

If you are a big lover of D&D then you'll love this book! This is a fun and funny action/adventure themed book with some adult themes but nothing too blatant. The author does a good job with a variety of different voices as well.

This is basically a D&D campaign in story format

I had no idea what LitRPG was until I listened to this book. I must admit that it did not really appeal to me much at the beginning. But the more I listened the more I got into it. The story was paced just right that I was able to understand and follow the story - despite my ignorance in this genre. The narration was equally good and it made my listening time really enjoyable.

I am looking forward to more of this series.

An Interesting Book

follows the MC can improve people trope with women throwing themselves at him...
however that is where the mediocrity stops.
the Story is greatly pace, well told with continually world building and character development.
I was hooked from the start and wanted more when the book ended...

Chris Graves does a wonderful job of giving the characters life and voices different enough that you are never in doubt of whom is speaking.

Great Harem

Being a fan of LitRPG I found this quite light on the stats and harem style but a nice starter for those who don't want to listen to a narrator state 100 stats every few pages. The sex is mostly tame or suggestive and is easy enough to follow without impacting the story too much.
The storyline of a Temple waif made into a new Goddesses high priest due to a War God run amok and giving him the ability to control peoples stats as they cant do it themselves is quite a good premise.
The characters are nicely written and as such you find yourself content to follow their life, the pace could be a bit faster and I feel like maybe another 50 to 100 pages( 1 hour) of content would of helped the story along a bit.
Narration was quite clear ,concise and had good tones for easy listening as it suited the story's pace and tone.
Overall this is a good start for 1st audio and in think would work well for a 2nd so 4.5stars overall a few elements needed but overall quite good.
I requested this audio and have decided to leave my thoughts for you to read.

Loved nearly everything about this audio book. The narrator was fantastic, the story had that hook that gets you addicted and not want to put it off. Character development was great and I loved the method of progression.
