About this listen
How do you unbreak the broken? Can you ever love them enough?
That’s what Jameson Wilde has asked himself a million times since he laid eyes on Lyla Flynn. She has the voice of an angel but an ache that lives inside her. It’s anchored to her heart.
He’s in a position to help make her a star. She’s hidden behind the heartbreak of her music for so long, she’s afraid to really be free and let the world hear her voice.
Jameson gets lost in their overpowering passion and forgets the darkness inside of her. Lyla holds her secrets close...a crack in her heart that will never heal.
Her newfound fame risks exposing her secrets, causing that split to shatter.
A contemporary love story with optional endings. If you want the raw story, the heartache, the truth of what happened, it’s there for the readers. If you have to have a happy ending, you’ll skip through the pages and get what you need.

Trigger warning!!
This book SHATTERED me! Wow. I'm speechless at the emotions I'm feeling after this book. The ending is not what you expect. It's an HEA but not in the traditional sense and my goodness.. Whoa.
Lyla is a singer but she doesn't want the fame of it all. She can't.. She is a broken mess. She moves every 3 months and that's how she likes it.
Jameson wants to record her, he knows what talent she holds. He knows she has the voice to make it big! She isn't just good, she's phenomenal. But can he get her to go big? Is that the right thing to do? Will it heal her or break her more?
Sometimes love is enough, but sometimes... it isn't. Can theirs be enough? Will it fix the pain she feels constantly?
This is a beautifully written story, it's truly heartbreaking and it doesn't spare anything. It is raw. It is real. It is remarkably painful. It's a harsh reminder of the darkness that lives inside some people and the fact that some escape, but some don't. Some can overcome it but some can't. They succumb to the pain, even when they seem fine on the exterior the interior is full of turmoil and sometimes it's too much. It's too hard. Something triggers and things turn dark. There is no escape, love isn't enough.
I loved Lyla and Jameson and the ending to this book hurt, but it was a healing hurt. It was a slap of reality. I have personal experience with the issues dealt with in this book and wow it was profoundly well done. The author wrote this book from her heart!
I love that the book is told in Jameson's POV and Adam Riley did a fantastic job. I felt the pain and loss and heartache with every word! Beautiful.. Just beautiful.
Intensely Beautiful Story

Gypsy is so talented and when Jamison hears her he has to record her talent. Problem is she isn't interested in having a recording contract. She just wants to play the bars and move on. His persistence finally breaks down her walls and he discovers the back story to her and why she is how she is.
The narrator, Adam Riley really did a great job with this book. I enjoyed listening to him from beginning to end and he told their story with the right emotion needed. I loved listening to him. I received a code to listen and leave a review of my honest opinion. I loved not only the narration but the story and I highly recommend it.

Lyla is a hurting talented singer who is found by Jameson. There’s not much to say without giving up the story but it was such a moving book and my heart is broken.
Adam Riley does a fabulous job with all the characters. Even the heroine was brought to live through Adam’s voice.
