Summary

There are no black hats or white hats in Dodge City, Kansas. Gunsmoke gives you Western stories for grown-ups, with hard-hitting tales set against the rugged majesty of the American frontier. Producer/director Norman Macdonnell and writer/editor John Meston bring you gripping accounts of folks who have come to Dodge to leave the past behind…and those who come to Dodge because they can’t. William Conrad stars as US Marshal Matt Dillon, with Parley Baer as Chester, Howard McNear as Doc, and Georgia Ellis as Kitty in 20 half-hours of radio drama at its best.

Episodes include: The Executioner 04-15-56; Indian Crazy 04-22-56; Doc’s Reward 04-29-56; Cows and Cribs 05-13-56; The Pacifist 06-10-56; Cheap Labor 06-17-56; Sunday Supplement 06-24-56; Gun for Chester 07-01-56; Passive Resistance 07-08-56; Letter of the Law 07-15-56; Lynching Man 07-22-56; Lost Rifle 07-29-56; Sweet and Sour 08-05-56; Snakebite 08-12-56; Annie Oakley 08-19-56; No Sale 08-26-56; Belle’s Back 09-09-56; Thick ‘n’ Thin 09-16-56; Box o’ Rocks 09-23-56; The Brothers 09-30-56.

Excellent Radio Western

Have really enjoyed the Gunsmoke Radio Series. Great stories and fast moving. Have bought several volumes, and will buy more.
