I found this contrived, superficial and predictable. As it was free I persevered, if I had paid for it I would have returned it

Just love everything by Joy Ellis after discovering her Jackman an Evans series on audible.
This was a shorter standalone story that was very enjoyable with interesting characters that I’d love to read more about in the future.
Very good narration too.
