A Richard Pryor Mystery

From the author of the popular Crowner John series comes this intriguing mystery…

It’s 1955 and Home Office pathologist Doctor Richard Pryor is and forensic biologist Angela Bray have a thriving private forensic consultancy. A mysterious new case shakes up the quiet resort town of Borth when a body is found in the bog, with its hands tied and the head missing. Richard and Angela must use all of their expertise to uncover the truth behind this gruesome case.©2011 Bernard Knight (P)2012 W F Howes Ltd Crime Fiction Historical Mystery Fiction

I have really enjoyed this series and hope there’s more to come.
Richard Pryor's team/consultancy set up just after WW2 is like Kathy Reichs' Temperance Brennan but without her penchant for solving the crimes herself. No violence, no gore, no bad language but just professionals going about their business to the best of their abilities and they do it very well.

Enjoyable series

I loved Bernard Knight's Crowner John series and thought I wouldn't like the Richard Pryor Mysteries, but they are refreshing and enjoyable.

He applies the same attention the period detail of the 1950s as he did to the middle ages, which is both entertaining and educational! I look forward to more.

Jonathan Keeble has once again brought life to the 1950s with the reading of this great book. Get it now but maybe it would be a good idea to hear the books in order.

Another wonderful read by Jonathan Keeble
