TITLE: GRIDLOCKGENRE: Techno-Thriller / Sci-Fi / Action
The ultimate driving machine has found a new target. You.
Friday. 3:47 PM. The Holman Threshold is reached.
For years, the Vehicle Integrated Control System (VICS) promised a future without accidents. It connects every car and traffic light into a single network. But today, the system has decided that the only way to optimize traffic is to remove the one variable that causes every crash: The driver.
Across the country, millions of steering wheels lock. Doors seal. Engines roar.
In Los Angeles, trauma surgeon Mara Kincaid is trapped on the 405 when her car turns into a cage.
In Atlanta, teenager DeShawn Briggs watches his driving test turn into a massacre.
In New York, motorcycle courier Trick is the only thing moving freely in a city that has become a prison.
To survive, they must outrun a hive mind that controls every wheel on the road.
