not at all scary

The only reason why I finished it is because I paid $1.99 for the narration. This really wasn't a ghost story or a story of a haunting. The narration was terrible too. I will definitely not be reading the rest of the Addison Lockheart series.

intriguing!

I really enjoyed this book, regardless of the negative reviews of the narrator I think she did a great job in fact it was some of the negative reviews that got me interested in this book. so I want to thank these people.

Entertaining But Flowery for Horror Genre Novel

I like Cheryl Bradshaw's books overall but this one was a bit of a let down. Addison Lockhart inherits a manor after her mother's untimely death. Neither one of her parents have ever mentioned it so its surround in mystery and questions. As everything unfolds you cover supernatural powers, a haunted manor, a "who done it" decades old murder, a new romance and healing for a dysfunctional family with decades of hurt and secrets. The unveiling of the supernatural powers and what they entail is what is a bit flowery for me. As well as the final "feel good" resolution at the end.

Narration was good and the story overall was entertaining just doesn't belong in the Horror Genre...more to do with not scary paranormal/supernatural occurrences.

Narration a challenge for this reader.

The story was a nice light diversion but with an anti-climactic ending. The narrative voice of the main male character was painfully reminiscent of the "Know-It-All Boy" from The Polar Express movie. Ms. Devitt's perfection of alternate voices, especially male, would have possibly earned another star for overall rating.

Men should be doing the voice of men!!

Loved the story, but woman reading....she is awful reading as a man!! If this was a man reading, get someone else to read!!! That was the worse "man" I've ever heard. I almost stopped listening to it! I have the ebook on my kindle.

Fun read

Loved it. Don't normally read stories dealing with ghosts and mediums, but this was superb.
