Gray is book four in the Sons of the Fallen series.

Cursed with Sloth, one of the seven deadly sins, Gray helps his Nephilim brothers protect mortals from dark forces, all while taking nap breaks. His sleepy world shifts when he meets a human who hunts monsters for a living.

I think this has been my favorite part of the series so far. Gray is insanely cute and I love the way Nick narrates his voice.

Gray is the cutest - my fave so far

I have to be honest, I really enjoyed Galen, the first book of the series, but since then all the sequels have been kinda meh. Unfortunately, this one is no exception. Sure, Gray and Mason were cute and sweet together. I found the book was dragging and lacking though.
I will still read the rest of the series because I’m mostly too curious but also because I love the brothers and their bonds.

I was really looking forward to this one and it was such a let down. The series is just steadily becoming more and more childish. This one is on the verge of creepy with how Gray comes across. This author just cannot write a softer, gentle, affectionate man without making him childlike and it’s such an ick. I loved Gray in the previous books and I really hoped the author would do him justice and keep him sweet and gentle but show an adult side to him that hadn’t been seen in the other books. She failed - he’s written as a child. It felt truly creepy to the point I had to skip lots of it.

The fact that every single book is literally just repeating itself is getting tiresome. The same villain is getting super boring and the constant repeat of their near deaths every book is just silly. They would never have survived thousands of years with the way they’ve been written 🙈 It feels like vampire diaries at this point, villains pausing to give villain speeches just before landing fatal blows 🙄allowing them all to be saved, super powerful assassin level Angels unable to finish the job because of some silly reason, Angels healing literal demons who have nearly killed your bonded brothers, Demons with enough power to freeze multiple people at once but doesn’t utilise it to actually do anything 🙄 angels with “special abilities” they refuse to use 🙄 they have been charged with protecting humanity at the cost of their own lives and have accepted that but won’t use a power that will allow them to live and also defeat the enemy? It literally makes zero sense. It’s surface level teenage writing at this point.

Really disappointing
