Arthur Conan Doyle was the greatest genre writer Britain has ever produced. Throughout a long writing career, he drew on his own medical background, his travels, and his increasing interest in spiritualism and the occult to produce a spectacular array of Gothic tales. I knew of one of these stories but had no idea the others existed! really engaging throughout

I really enjoyed this audiobook. Although it was 19hrs long the time seemed to fly by due mainly to finding myself lost in the wonderful tales told by a very talented narrator. Gary Furlong brought these stories to life. I will most certainly check out more of his narrations.

A varied collection of different titles by Conan Doyle. The narrator really doesn't complement the work, I couldn't go on after just a few of the short stories.

Very enjoyable gothic mysteries. The narration is good, but I do find it strange that almost every narrator on audible seems to have huge problems with the pronunciation of certain words - not the same words, but words that aren’t difficult to get right. Probably it’ll remain a bigger mystery than any of Conan Doyle’s….
