The story was entertaining, moved at a good pace, and it offers a different rhythm of James Bond than the one we are used from the later films.
Great narration, having the same actor doing all the characters in a distinctive, competent way helps focusing on the story. His cool, reflexive narration of James Bond was a plus to the story.

Another great story by Ian Fleming. However, the first in chronological order of the Bond books I have read so far which do not measure up to the film.
The Goldfinger Film was possible the best Bond ever (although Dr No was close!). The book and film are quite different. The book developed the characters better, was perhaps more believable and superb for its time.
Any Bond film:book but will love it.
The characters are turned around in the book which fascinated me. The narration was good and I loved Odd Job’s voice!
