I think your going to like this new one .... I love the forty proof series inparticular and am happy to start on a new adventure with a female shifter .. at the centre and a big hunky norseman and other supporting supernatural creatures ..... however if you are embarking on this adventure now (Jan 2023) the next books release date is July... and there is a real teaser of an ending ..... how cruel to make us weight half a year. ..... like her other books I will be replaying this one many times before the next is released.

Action, action, and some more action. Unexpected twists and turns on multiple fronts. The story is gripping and at times laugh out loud funny. The characters are likable, hateable, and entertaining. The chapter titles set the tone. Grab something to drink and snuggle up near the fireplace, this is one story you will want to read from start to finish in one setting …. and if you do not, be prepared to think about the story when your at work or doing household tasks. The book ends on a hook that almost blurs the line of a cliffhanger…(the author is probably giggling manically right now). Looking forward to the next book! The narrator did a nice job with providing unique voices for each character and appropriate tone inflections for each scene. I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
