Love isn't always plain sailing....

When Jo's husband trades her in for a younger model, she suddenly finds herself living on a barge near the Thames. Used to being a kept woman, she soon realises she'll need more than a few culinary skills to keep herself afloat. The voices are so annoying. How long do it take to speak each word- get on with it and less if the annoying voice

Annoying Narration good story

You know what to expect when you buy a book by Katie Fforde but the reader was so bad I struggled to listen to it. Dreadful voices, poor pronunciation, horrible intonation! However did she get the job?

enjoyed the story but the narration was draining spoilt the story slightly voice was very taxing

Good romance

A bit disappointing. The story was a bit weak and the characters seemed old fashioned. I did not like the narration, more suited to a 1950s novel than a modern story. I have always liked Katie Fforde but this was not her best and was made even more dull because of the narrator’s voice.
