Summary

Jay has gotten his cluster to come together.

But new challenges always appear. Most frustrating is an old crush from Earth joins them and throws questions into all of Jay's relationships. One truth remains. Their only hope is to grow stronger. To do that, they have to descend deeper into the dungeon. At the same time, Jay has to decide how he feels about the women in his life.

This book features unconventional relationships and some sexual content. It is intended for mature listeners.

The cringe, it won't stop

First things first. This is the male equivalent of a grocery store bodice ripper. No one is here for the literature. Which, looking a the almost exclusively 5-star reviews, should be obvious. I'm not here for those people as there's no accounting for taste.

Now that that's been cleared up: this is a terrible book. The only reason I've even made it to book 3 was because there was some semblance of an interesting story going on in the background and I'm a sucker for sci-fi. Unfortunately the tenuous threads of science fiction that were holding my interest in this have exploded. Unfortunately they were replaced with truly awful, juvenile attempts at describing intimacy.

Not sex mind you, that seems to be used more as filler. The sections where the author is trying to convince us that he has -any- idea what a relationship is like. There are far too many characters for them to more than flat personalities with some defining sexual characteristic. Having to listen to literally hours of cardboard cutouts profess love for each other is draining in a way I've never seen before.

And that's not even talking about the "villains" which pop up occasionally only to be overcome in a few minutes with no lasting consequences.

Never again. This is just another mediocre sexual fantasy from an author that's getting by on the complete lack of barriers to self-publishing.

well then

The only thing I'm not a fan of with this one is the MC ability to not listen to anything reasonable if it breaks his code. Never really saw the point of anyone else until it was shoved into his face.

A good continuation

If you have read the other two, you will enjoy this book. I can't wait for the next if there is one.

Great world building and follow up.

I love where this series is going and the continued world building. The MC is growing, but at a pace that is relatable. He has trauma in his past and he doesn't get past it all with one heart felt conversation. It's a struggle for him as it should be. The author is able to introduce new characters and give them good back stories while still keeping the focus on our main protagonist and villain's. I highly recommend the series and this book.

Can't wait for the next book in the series!!!

Great writing, check. Great narration, check. Now all we need is the next book in the series. Makes me sad the next one could be the conclusion though.

Excellent

It is a very interesting book and certainly doesn’t follow a standard progression. The plot is definitely inventive and keeps you guessing. The characters a distinctive and very intriguing. The narration is marvelous and keeps you tied to the story. Excellent Book!

Enjoyable as ever

Definitely a series that brings unexpected things. I think the X said, Y said portion of the story could have been improved, but otherwise I had no issues with how it was written.

Great job by the Narrator team 👍👍

Sooo Good!

First off, the voice actors were great, as they always are; these two are consistently amazing.

Now for the actual book:

it follows and builds upon the same themes as the previous books. in fact, aside from a few of the initial chapters feeling weirdly short, it was perfect. they even spent less time on the steamy bits and more on their progression. that's not to say they cut it out, there was still plenty of detailed scenes here and there, but less of a sexual focus was actually pretty welcomed in my opinion.

Really looking forward to the next one!

Every book keeps getting better!

If you liked/loved the first and second installments you'll feel the same about this one. Fast paced with plenty of action, character building, and arc progression. Can't wait for the next one!

As always Daniel and Rebecca = awesome sauce.
