About this listen

Evil always seeks a foothold. We must not give it one.

The electrifying conclusion to the New York Times and Indiebound bestselling Serpent & Dove trilogy is perfect for fans of Sarah J. Maas and Kendare Blake.

Lou has spent her whole life running. Now, after a crushing blow from Morgane, the time has come to go home—and claim what is rightfully hers.

But this is no longer the Lou her friends knew. No longer the Lou who captured a chasseur’s heart. A darkness has settled over her, and this time it will take more than love to drive it out.

From Serpent & Dove to Blood & Honey and concluding with Gods & Monsters, Shelby Mahurin's stunning fantasy trilogy delivers thrills and romance.

I loved this book! OMG the last chapter broke me! 😭
This story was exciting and crazy...I hate the feeling when nobody seems to get a break, and this was what I was feeling here. But through all adversity the characters made it through and the message of hope is the most important one. I liked all the characters especially Ansell, and the chapter with Lou when she was fighting Nicola was really emotional, I am so glad he remained part of the story.
I love a HEA and I got one. 🤩

Brilliant

I usually listen to dark serial killer crime novels and like to have something lighter to go to to lighten the mood occasionally.

I loved this trilogy and, unlike a previous reviewer, loved this one the best of all three! The french terms didn't bother me at all and there is absolutely no need for any translation - the french words are usually names for an item or place and you can figure that out for yourself.

This is a very statisfying conclusion to the story of Reid and Lou - I'll definitely listen again when I need something to clear the serial killers from my head.

Loved this!

DNFed at the end of part 1.
I could not stand the story, and the narration made it even worse. I repeatedly had to go back and listen to the same sentence multiple times to understand what the narrarators were saying, even though it was English. They act out the scenes to the point were its about as easy to understand the words, as it is to understand the lyrics when listening to opera music.

The book is bad, and there is no way around it. After blood and honey I was hopeful that this book would be better.. Oh, how I was mistaken. Most of the time it feels like a fever dream - nothing makes sense, and you know you'll forget it in 5 minutes. Also, why use French words and phrases, and not translate them? I don't know French, which it exactly why I am reading this book in English...

Honestly, this book is not worth your money. Consider serpent and dove a stand-alone and move on with your life. You'll be better of that way.
