Brilliant!
I loved this! I have already read the book but I feel it was so much better to listen to. The narrator did a fantastic job with this and Sadie's character. I love all the characters in this book though they all have their part to play. As usual with a Laura Barnard book, I laughed out loud many times, although some of the subjects in the story are serious there is always that bit of light heartedness too. A definite 5 star listen for me!

Fantastic
This has been a journey and a half. The characters put themselves into some hilarious situations but also some that were quite scary and unknown. This is the type of story that I find it easy to listen to again as I really enjoyed the female friendships that ran alongside the romantic relationship. It was also refreshing to see that the author approached the topic of the chemo patients with respect and dignity.

Romantic Comedy
Dopey Women by Laura Barnard is a romantic comedy that I listened to on audio narrated by Mandy Williams. I absolutely love Laura’s books! They always leave me with a smile on my face. I absolutely loved all the characters in this series. I loved the friendship between Sadie, Steph, Lexi, and Mags. Sadie and Harry's relationship was a bit messy but you can't help but root for them. Mandy did an amazing job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of her work in the future. I would highly recommend this series if you love Chick Lits or Romantic Comedies.

A wonderfully enterprising story with delightful characters!
This is a story that I didn’t really expect! It is fun and engaging with delightful characters. I really never knew what was going on between Sadie and Harry. I know I had wishful thinking but that doesn’t always work with a book. This is chock full of wonderful characters! I loved each of them for different reasons. Her “gal pal” group has the most dynamics in it. Plus a wide range of ages which make them interesting. Then there is the Detective along with the drug dealers. I don’t want to forget Sam. He is a nice surprise and helps fill in Sadies backstory. Then there is the lady of the hour Sadie. She is looking for one thing which leads to a boatload of trouble then she finds something else. Overall this story is great! I could easily listen to it over and Over. I did listen to this on audio. Mandy Williams is the narrator. She is a first time listen for me and she does wonderful.

dopey women
I liked how the women supported one another and bonded together through their problems. I liked that the business they chose to help others helped them all also. I enjoyed the twists and nonstop laughs with a bonus romance. I loved that in the midst of all the danger and crazy that Sadie and Harry found love. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a good job.
