Summary

What happens when your father is the prime suspect in a murder case?

FBI Agent Nell Flynn is about to work the most personal case of her life.

Back home for the first time in a decade, Nell is getting ready to close the family estate after her father's death.

But there's one piece of unfinished business. Her father, a homicide detective, was investigating the murders of two young women. Now his partner has asked for Nell's help.

Nell soon realises that her father should be the prime suspect and that his friends on the force are covering for him.

With no idea whom she can trust, Nell also starts to question events that took place when she was a child. Could it be that the answers she so desperately needs are buried deep within her own memory?

Enjoyable

Hope there will be another novel, the lead character has depth that could be explored, I feel like this was an introduction into Nell.

Really enjoyed this

This was a good listen. Kept you interested. Didn’t feel the time pass by at all! Suspense and a good twist to it.

Entertaining

Nice and easy listen, good performance and good plot which doesn’t quite go the way you expect.
Not too complex, interesting set of characters and not too many make this perfect for an audiobook
Kept me gripped and listening

A good read

Throughly enjoyable and well-read thriller. Police corruption abounds as do womens' corpses. The FBI heroine would have been more believable if she hasn't survived entirely on black coffee for two months. But the goodies triumph and the baddies cop it in the end.

I couldn’t guess the killer which I love.

I really enjoyed this book although I got lost a few times with names especially of all the different police officers. Overall the story was easy to follow and kept me wanting to read on (listen on). I would recommend this.

Ahhhh

So well written and such a good storyline. Easy to follow too. I love that it talks about real issues too even tho it’s fictional.

A great listen!

Cops & robbers with a feminist perspective. Fast paced with excellent narration & dialects. Some plot weaknesses but would still recommend.
