Educative and helpful
Ooh what a book. I never realized that there were these numerous questions for our younger girls around. I believe the expectations are that we set boundaries around for our girls to follow with the understanding as to why.

Great book for teenage girls
My young niece is going through a lot of teenage angst at the moment so I got this book for her to read while she is staying with me. She is still reading it which is a good sign but I read it first to make sure it was suitable. It provides really good explanations about the challenges of teenage years for girls and the hormonal and bodily changes they are going through and how it affects emotions and behavior. I think this book will go a long way to helping my niece keep her worries and moods in perspective by understanding how normal it is to feel the way she does.

Great for young girls or parents
Facts of life are facts of life and I really appreciated the positivity of embracing a young girl's transition through puberty because it is rarely easy. When I was growing up general consensus I felt like this time was taboo, awkward, and embarrassing. I love authors like London Ford is changing that mindset to embracing and positivity and this is a beautiful thing for a young lady to go through. This book covers so much not only what to expect but how you might handle all the upcoming changes. I really enjoyed listening and will hang on to this for my granddaughter as well as recommend for any mom with girls approaching puberty or teen. A wonderful resource to prepare young women to embrace their essence of womanhood.

Extremely Useful!
One of the more difficult talks you will ever have with your daughter, is about puberty. This can be a very challenging time for a young girls. That's why this book is so helpful, it shows you how to explain to her what's happening and has so much useful information to help her with this life changing event.

I really needed this!
As I have a 12-year-old girl it is time for her to understand the new phase of her life: puberty. It can be pretty uncomfortable to communicate about this but this content just helped me a lot and prepared me for this chat. Thanks a lot! Definitely recommended!

Great Book for Parents of Young Girls
I heartily advise girls and parents who want to know how to help their daughters through the many changes that will occur as puberty sets in. This puberty manual is essential reading for parents and girls. The changes that girls experience during puberty are well-explained by the author. The narrative is fantastic and easy to understand, thus the author has made it easy to listen. It serves as a guide for young girls as they work to comprehend and accept the natural changes that are taking place in their bodies and teaches them how to deal with some of the difficulties associated with those changes.

This makes life much easier for the girl child
Growing up in the 70s and 80s, sex lessons/ adolescent talks were not encouraged for children. We just grew up having to figure these things out. It was worse for kids that grew up with single parents where the one you have can't help with issues relating to the other sex. 'Girlish' is well-resourced and put together from the viewpoint of a fully grown woman who has experienced puberty so an expert in the field. It is filled with lots of advice on what to expect and how best to prepare for puberty to make it easy sailing. Although I'm here to guide my daughter, this book will be her personal guide to go to when she is trying to understand the changes her body is going through. I can definitely recommend this audiobook.
