THE TIKTOK FANTASY SENSATION THAT'S SOLD OVER HALF A MILLION COPIES, PERFECT FOR FANS OF SARAH J. MAAS AND JENNIFER L. ARMENTROUT

'It's the arrogance of men to think so little of women. And it'll be their downfall too'

Locked away in a castle on the snowy mountains in the Sixth Kingdom of Orea, I have never known freedom.

No one can get in or out. Apart from him.

King Midas, who rescued me from the streets. Who gave me food, shelter, and his heart. Who I promised to love forever.

But when political upheaval sees me sent across kingdoms to a future I no longer understand, everything I thought I knew about King Midas is shattered . . .

The world has only ever heard his story.

Now it's time to hear mine.

Praise for The Plated Prisoner Series
Gild is a heart-pounding fantasy romance, and this outstanding book will keep you gripped until the very last word. It’s beautifully written and is a truly riveting story. If you love Sarah J Maas and Jennifer L Armentrout this book is for you! This series is gripping, enticing and darkly romantic. Don’t miss out on this un-putdownable read!
This series has stolen my heart, my breath, my regard for anything else. I've never been so immersed in a story before-never read characters that have felt so real. I've cried, laughed, screamed, thrown my kindle across the room, picked it up again, swooned . . . These characters, this WORLD . . . it's everything. Raven has written a story for the ages, destined to go down as one of the epics
Raven writes with a magic that comes to life on the page. Every single word gleams like gold
This is one of those series that started off phenomenal, and only gets better with every subsequent book.

Get ready to be enthralled from the first word, and begging for more by the last. Raven Kennedy crafts an astonishing world that's filled with captivating characters and a story you won't be able to put down

This series is amazing and I can't recommend it enough. It is one of the best New Adult Fantasy books out there.

TEN GILDED STARS! Remarkably original . . .and the prose, people . . . gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous

An emotional rollercoaster

What I've enjoyed so far about this series is how it's a metaphor about real, emotional issues

I agree with other reviewers about the slow beginning and annoying heroine. But I will keep listening as I heard about her character growth. The story definitely has a potential.
And the end was very thrilling! 😍
P.S. there are some triggers like rape, so be aware.

Slow, but worthy

This book works well but I can’t help being exhausted by the main character and her apaathy

Nice original idea

Enjoyed the story and will continue reading on kindle but had to stop listening half way through because I couldn't stand the childish tone of the narrator!

Painful to listen

I almost DNFd in the first 20 minutes - why does the narrator sound like a child? incredibly off putting especially when there is spicy content in a book.
I have been recommended this series many times on booktok though so I persisted at 1.3x speed which made it just about bearable.
The story was fine, nothing much happened, it just felt like the first third of a book instead of a novel in itself.
I will continue with the next one because everyone says it is so much better - but this series is on its last chance.

Pushed through the awful narrator- not convinced it was worth it yet

Overall good story and I can’t wait to see how this developes! But, I just can’t really get over the voice of the narrator. I’m stuck between Auren being a little girl, or an old lady with this voice. The accent is fine but its the raspy almost nasal quality of the voice. It’s a great sound for other things, but with all the sex in this book, it sounds.. off. I really can’t imagine Auren being this sexy creature with this voice! sorry.

All about the voice.
