About this listen

In the heart of Goblin Town, Gilbert just wants a quiet life filled with stew, sarcasm, and a pint of ale—but fate has other plans.

When a Halloween festival spirals into chaos, Gilbert is thrust into a madcap quest involving sacrificial rituals, ancient gods, drunken brawls, and a reunion with his long-lost brother Harry. Together, the hot-headed Gilbert and the surprisingly resourceful Harry must face monstrous wolves, meddlesome fairies, and demonic tricksters—all while avoiding being turned into goblin stew themselves.

Equal parts comedy, carnage, and chaos, Gilbert’s Tale is a hilariously dark fantasy with a heart buried beneath the bloodshed.

The book was great, and the audiobook really brings life and personality into each character. This book was very enjoyable to listen to, and I especially enjoyed the subtle nod to great adventurers such as Shackleton.
Looking forward to buying the sequel.
