Overall the story was solid, I generally liked the characters and the build of the story for the first 2/3 of the book, but then it lost its way and instead of focusing on the a nicely crafted storyline (difficult to get across without using spoilers) it went all “Hollywood” and tried to deliver a huge and over the top final 1/3 (like watching a Marvel movie)

The narrator was decent but his reading voice occasionally sounded like Harry Hill - which was a bit off putting given the genre.

It kept my attention but I felt letdown by the climax of the book, however I am tempted to see what other books the author has written and give him another chance.

Started well but failed to deliver

Everything was brilliant- story, descriptions, characters and as usual the graphic and detailed nature of the murders.

The narrative and the narrator

This is a very enjoyable book, with interesting, fun, characters and an excellent narrator.
It is also darkly comic, and has some outstanding brutality. The threat is silly... but that doesn't detract from the overall ride. Will be getting the rest of the series.

Enjoyable nonsense.

*Includes slight spoilers* I listened to this first when it was offered for free, and when the offer ran out I just had to place a pre-order even though it was months to wait! I'm now devouring it again in all its goriness (is that even a word?) Another terrific tale from Graham Masterton; superbly read by my new favourite, Mark Meadows. His attention to accents is second to none. Possessed secondhand clothes that turn normal people into flesh-eating, violent, abnormal people. Definitely not for the faint-hearted! (I wish all the Patel and Pardoe series was read by Mark Meadows)

Gore fest from the Master!
