This was the last in the series, I've listened the all of them one after the other and they were excellent, the narrator was fantastic and really brought the stories to life. I really hope Scot and Thomas continue this series and Brian continues to narrate The best books I've listened to in a long time

Gripping.

Book 4 is as good as the other 3 books in this series. This is just action all the way and grabs hold and doesn't let go until the end. These authors are on my must read list. I also found myself laughing out loud at points in this book. The narration was another good job. So if you want a great listen and enjoy authors like vince flynn brad thor and clive cussler you are going to have some fun while listening to this.

A Sniper Elite Story not a Gil Shannon Story

Like the other books in this series it is well written, generally has good character development, a plot or plots that are not always obvious, and connects the reader emotionally to the story and characters. However, this is not a Gil Shannon story. If you loved the earlier books in this series, as I do, you should know this is not a Master Chief Gil Shannon fast paced adventure and action story. Gill plays only a minor role in this novel. And because of it I have struggled with how to rate this latest installment of Sniper Elite. I remind myself this is the “Sniper Elite’ series not the Gil Shannon series; however it was the do the impossible, do the right thing with a good moral compass, with a sense of humor all with fast action lead character that earned my loyalty to the series. Ghost Sniper is still a good book; I just feel some disappointment and unsatisfied after listening. Rating this book as an installment in the Sniper Elite series I have given it 4 stars because at the end of the day I realized I am not invested in the ‘active’ characters in Ghost Sniper something needed to get 5 stars from me. Bottom line, this is a good book, well written, certainly one of the best of this genre but it doesn’t set the hook for the series as the earlier books do.

Loved the series up until now

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I have really enjoyed the series until now. This latest installment was a disappointment. I don't mind that Gil wasn't the main character however I do mind that he has lost his moral compass. I used to like him being grounded by his life in Montana on his ranch with a wife that he loved. I've lost all respect for him at this point. I guess the author needed a character with less moral integrity to keep it interesting. And as far as Pope goes, it was confusing trying to keep track of who he was loyal to and who he wasn't. It was a shame to see his total disregard for those who had fought for him and put him in the position he currently holds.

Would you recommend Ghost Sniper to your friends? Why or why not?

I would recommend the previous installments but not this one.

What does Brian Hutchison bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I enjoyed Brian's performance.

Do you think Ghost Sniper needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Not really. Gil was the main character and I've lost all respect for him.

What a great series...

Book 4 clearly exceeded my expectations. Love the characters, love the depth of plot and for sure the unexpected turns.

Will definitely read/listen to the whole series again. Previously only Flynn, Thor, rowling.

4 stars; not as good as the 3 prior novels...

...in the Sniper Elite series. Ghost Sniper is a very, very good espionage thriller which I enjoyed. But it is disappointing compared to the three prior novels in the series. I suppose the bottom line is I do not like the person that the protagonist Gil Shannon became in this novel. Please give us back the Gil Shannon of the first three books in the series. The Gil Shannon in Ghost Sniper with his killing for the thrill is too much like Tom Wood's Victor the Assassin.

the best of the best...

I have a deep Library of similar books, but none of them are for me as good. That includes the Likes of Brad Thor, Vince Flynn and Brad Taylor. I start getting depressed once I get near the end knowing I'm going to have a long wait till the next book comes out. Oh well until then I guess.

What were you thinking?

Really disappointed. The cursing throughout was unnecessary. Guess like everything else it became a novel about a Seal who was unfaithful, abandoned his wife and previous life and responsibility for a sexual frolic. Shame on the authors for going off track.

Disappointing

Loved the first books in the series and rooted for all the characters but this one was disappointing. I am agnostic to the language called out by others. But it just seemed that all the characters lost their way and have become less than likable. What happened to the Gill I had come to love? I loved the first three and would highly recommend. I can only hope that the authors get back on track for any future novels.

Entertaining story

Innovative book going from story to story pulling it all together at the right time. Not the usual 150 bodies by super sniper it actually follows a plot keeping the reader guessing for much of the book. Enjoyed.
