Summary

What's your lucky number?

Lyla Wilder is done being the shy chemistry nerd extraordinaire. While every other college student is out having fun, Lyla is studying. With her cat. Well, she's played it "safe" quite enough, thank you. So she creates a "College Bucket List" - with item #7 being a night of uninhibited, mind-blowing sex....

But she needs some help from her man-whore best friend.

Hockey player Beck Davenport thought Lyla's transformation would be subtle. Man, was he wrong. With every item she ticks off, Beck finds himself growing seriously hot for his sweet brainiac best friend. And if he's not careful, he'll end up risking their friendship in order to convince Lyla that he might just be her lucky #7....

Fantastic

I love all of Cindi Madsen's book and to
have them coming out on audible is amazing. The narration is good and portrays the chatacters really well. if you like an NA book with gorgeous hockey players with a little comedy thrown in then give it a go. You won't regret it.

Chemistry in the air

If you could sum up Getting Lucky Number Seven in three words, what would they be?

BFFs Turned Couple

What was one of the most memorable moments of Getting Lucky Number Seven?

The most memorable moment for me would be when when Beck gets on stage to sing at a party to his nerdy BFF.

Have you listened to any of Andi Arndt and Cooper North ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I'm a huge Andi Arndt fan and funnily enough - I bought the book based on the description and was happily surprised to hear her as a narrator. She's always amazing and I love how versatile her voice is. This was my first Cooper North book and he also did great! He too had a versatile voice. They both put emotion into the characters and did a great job.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Subtle Chemistry or the Chemistry of Love. Something with Chemistry since they were both all about chemistry both figuratively and literally.

Any additional comments?

Amazing!!! Reminds me of Sincerely Carter in a way. Bffs turned lovers. Well written with tons of detail and feelings (more R rated with the steamy scenes - not too much detail there but its cute). Beck was the college hockey star. And Lila was the nerdy chemist major. Lila was tired of being called boring, plan and one guy called her ugly in earshot of herself. while her BFF Beck thought she was amazing as is and a great friend. He agreed to help his frumpy friend with the great personality (yet nerdy). He didnt see her in a sexual way and thought it would be easy - but he was wrong. Chemistry from their friendship began to heat up with her new looks. Beck started to see her in a new light and got jealous of other guys attempts to be with her. The story takes an unexpected turn when he agrees to help her with one of her college bucket list items. This book was amazing and well worth the read. Enjoy!

pretty good

It was a good listen, it wasn't spectacular or anything, but we all know books like that only come once every three months or so

Fun, sexy NA!

Some NA is overly angsty and whiny, but never Cindi Madsen. This was fun, funny, and sexy! Lyla is so endearing and sweet. She and Beck are adorable together and I cheered for them the whole way through. Andi Arndt & Cooper North are wonderful narrators who made this an enjoyable binge-listen that I finished in an afternoon!

ITS CUTE MORE YA THAN I LIKE

It's a cute story not one I would listen to over and over but enjoyable enough to get a good review. This is more young adult than I want right now. Narration was excellent.

cute story

I liked this book but it is the typical love story... boy meets girl, girl is a damsel in distress, boy is the Knight who comes to the rescue, then boy is the one who needs help and girl saves the day

Story Has Been Done

It was cute book and great performance. But its sounds like the "off campus" series by Elle Kennedy. Which if you like this book definitely read The Deal, The Mistake, The Score, The Goal. They are way better... Way Way Better! I loved the performance.

Friends first

Lyla is the nerd that is always covered up, but after a hurtful comment, she decides to turn that all around. With the reluctant help of her best friend Beck.
Becks life is easy, as long as he doesnt focus on anything but hockey, school work, and casual sex. Relationships just arent his thing. So when Lyla, a friend he is able to relax and be himself around, asks for help, he can't say no. But her makeover definitely complicates his life.
The romance is nice and sweet. And I like how the backstory unfolds.

Very Good!

I really enjoyed this book, it was a bit different from the normal romance set up. You still obviously knew what was coming but it was still great. I would listen to it again!

An Unexpected Delight

This book was an unexpected delight to read. It was funny and the characters were very believable. This is not a book I would normally stick with and want to listen to day and night to finish. However, I did with this one. Great read Cindi Madsen!
