Brilliant!

Fantastic book, all expectant parents should read/listen too. Great insight into the world of becoming a parent and many different tools that will not only help with your birth but in every day life.
So many different stories from real people in hospitals we all know here in Ireland.
Tracy is so lovely to listen too and her voice is very reassuring.
Could not recommend it enough...

A game changer. A TRUE MINDSET CHANGER.

As a Birth Doula, GentleBirth Instructor, and mother of three I have explored this book a couple of times. I had my hands on the previous edition of it as well and I can honestly say that the birth of my third child was approached from a completely new perspective both by me and my husband because of this book and the GentleBirth app. There are many books on this topic in the market but this is the one that made me question a lot that had happened while expecting and giving birth twice previously.
I enjoyed reading the actual GentleBirth birth stories that inspired me a lot. I felt connected in some unique way with these parents. It seemed that I have found a special space where my questions would be treated with dignity and my fears explained and put in order. Or in other words - I will be given tools to put them aside. Name it to tame it! And of course "WTF" - in GentleBirth language - "Where is The Focus?" Tracy explains the approach step by step patiently and lovingly with a dash of humor there and then.
There is no magic in choosing one's path. You need tools to reach Your goals. And this book will provide You with plenty! Evidence-based birth education is expressed in a manner that is pleasant to read and quite easy to digest but the amount of information will urge expectant parents to continue their research in order to get their best birth experience.
The language and approach used do not leave the reader feeling foolish for not knowing the facts mentioned - on the contrary, Tracy congratulates parents for being such wise and caring individuals as it takes courage to step into the unknown. This book will serve well both first-time parents and those who are a bit experienced in the field of parenthood.
The Main topics discussed in the book are the brain and why it is so important to learn how it works, the body and the changes it is going through, the birth that is considering also the best options not only for the mother but also the baby and baby, breastfeeding and beyond.
The author emphasizes the undeniable connection between our mindset and the result we get. When put in words all written seems logical and long known but the fact that all of the knowledge has been put together in one book that is dedicated to parents to be is an amazing gift. We all want the best for our children and ourselves, but we need someone who has done the job of putting it all together. And it is this book! It talks about real-life situations and informs how to get to the stage where parents have educated themselves enough to be able to ask questions, have options, and feel strong in making decisions.
What most distinguishes the GentleBirth book from other books of this kind is that it is suitable while expecting, it prepares and guides through the labor and birth and it also keeps on supporting long after the baby has arrived by teaching how to apply the mindset that parents will be able to develop if they work on it. It will positively influence their relationship, family environment, and quality of their lives in general.
