About this listen

With chaos comes opportunity.

The world is at the brink of disaster, and the demigods want him dead.

Derk knows the tribulations he faces force him into perilous situations, but with Tyla and Tasnia sworn to his side, he might save things yet.

With new and unproven allies, plus a mysterious elf named Diane, now he must navigate intrigue and assassins to build his power enough to fend off those who pursue him.

Should be simple, right? Nobody wins without taking a few risks, after all.

Continue Derk's adventure in this gripping second installment.

Being the second book, I really enjoyed this book. It continues to build the reality of this world and teases you to follow closely or you may miss something. The narrators did a fantastic job of bringing the characters to life. Now the wait for book 3.

I like the pacing of this story much more, the male narrator doesn't sound as over the top and zaney as before which is good. Looking forward to book 3

Substantially better than the first
