About this listen

It’s time to come home....

The Hull family has owned the Gallows Hill Winery for generations. Their wine wins awards. Their business prospers. Their family thrives. People whisper that the curse has awakened once more.

The sprawling old house has long been perched on top of a hill overlooking the nearby town, jealously guarding the estate's secrets.

It's been more than a decade since Margot Hull last saw her childhood home. She was young enough when she was sent away that she barely remembers its dark passageways and secret corners. But now she's returned to bury her parents and reconnect with the winery that is her family's legacy and the bloody truth of exactly what lies buried beneath the crumbling estate. Alone in the sprawling, dilapidated building, Margot is forced to come face-to-face with the horrors of the past and realize that she may be the next victim of a house that never rests....

Great creepy story with a satisfying resolution. As always, Darcy Coates does a masterful job of building up the tension, aided by the excellent narration. My only criticism is that the narration kept glitching briefly and skipping a few words occasionally

Creepy

This is on the edge of the sofa stuff, and I loved it.
Captivating from the start and I was hooked, such a good storyline.
This is my first story from this talented writer and it will not be the last. I highly recommend this audio book.
Excellent narration, a pure joy to listen to. 🎶

EXCELLENT. 😱

Beautifully written, award-worthy narrating. This resonates with me in ways that harken to Edgar Alan Poe and also Robbie-grillet

How is this not in the literary cannon!

The narrator is a bit to breathy I had to speed the story up for the pace to be comfortable to listen to and not loose interest part way through.
Very good story otherwise, reminded me of similar stories like the haunting of hill house I even said ohhh a bent neck lady!

The pace is good-once sped up

All felt very shallow and predictable sadly. I think it's probably enjoyable for many but I couldn't finish it.

Young Adult and not for me
