Beautiful, poetic and delicious. My first reading of V E Schwab and will definitely try others. Dream like narration draws you in and holds you gripped.

A Dark Delight

It's a great setup and you don't know where the story is going and what will come next most of the time. However I feel like it doesn't pay off the end of it. The performance however it's spotless.

The thing is I have read so many books by the author I feel this pales against most of her other stories. But make no mistake it's a decent tale to be told.

Was disappointed by this. Usually love everything Julian narrates, but this didn’t make the most of his talents. A bit like Coraline and not very original.
