About this listen

What would you do if you could go back in time and change your life? Which regrets and mistakes would you fix? What would your life look like now?

In Future Proof, an experimental medical treatment goes wrong, which allows Sam Harris to do exactly that. He starts by standing up to the kids who bullied him at school and then sets about trying to fix the mess he made of the rest of his life. However, as he discovers, changing his past doesn’t always guarantee a brighter future.

Buckle up for a bumpy fun filled ride of what ifs and second chances. Winner of the Page Turner Awards 2022 Genre Award, Future Proof is a romantic comedy/drama filled with love, tears, and laughter with an accompanying original musical soundtrack.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was a very unique way of doing a time travel story. The characters were well rounded the narration was excellent. I am definitely looking forward to the next book.

A very unique way of doing a time, travel story

I really enjoyed the story and it was a different take on time travel and changing pasts. It is probably just me but the songs really irritated me and I couldn’t really see what purpose they served. Probably just a personal choice.

Really good story spoilt by weird songs

liked the story, and time-travel yarn. Bit strange with the music, additions, but I suppose it fitted well within the story.

Good read

It was a great story and the songs were a nice touch which made the characters feel more 3 dimensional. I love time travel stories and the way this time travel occured was unusual which made it all the more interesting.
I generally prefer narrators of audio books to be the same gender as the main character/ narrator so I was a bit dubious at first but I got used to Alex and she performed well.

Engaging narrative

I have listened to many time travel books and this is one of the most enjoyable. The narrator is excellent - although I initially found it strange to have a female reader for a man's story.
The music added an additional element to this excellent story and I will give the songs a full listen on YouTube as suggested in the epilogue/notes.
I can only assume that the author was inspired (in part) by Quantum Leap as there are several instances where similarities occur - most noticeably the phrase 'to put right what once went wrong'.
Finally, I can't wait for the next book.

An interesting take on time travel.
