I enjoyed working through the puzzles and challenges in this collection. One idea that stayed with me was how math felt more useful when tied to everyday situations. I felt encouraged as concepts became clearer through practice. I learned that steady effort builds confidence, and I would recommend it to learners who want a more engaging approach.

My 11-year-old has always done reasonably well in math, but getting him excited about extra practice has been another story.
The mix of puzzles, games, and real-world scenarios kept him engaged much longer than I expected. Instead of rushing through exercises, he often wanted to explain how he arrived at an answer or tackle another challenge. The activities build problem-solving skills, not just calculation skills. For kids who need extra practice or for those who simply enjoy a good challenge, this collection offers a fun way to strengthen math skills without feeling like homework.

I got this for a junior puzzle master son who needed more math practice without the usual groans, and it worked. The puzzles, games, and challenges keep it interesting, and the wide variety of questions prevents it from feeling repetitive. It’s great for building confidence and sharpening problem-solving skills in short sessions. Rebekah Thompson’s narration is clear and upbeat, which helps keep the pace fun and easy to follow. We joined in occasionally and had a good time.
