Summary

From USA Today best-selling authors comes book one in the Crossover series.

A mafia princess. The nation's favorite football player. Can they make it work?

An unlikely matching of the stars.

The opposites had it all for one year.

Justice Bexley, the daughter of Cain and Calla leaders of the Diamond Syndicate, sacrificed true love to protect Liam. Her selfish action destroyed them both.

Liam Blake moved on with his prestigious career. However, his outlook on life was never the same. If his parents could fight for true love with a pinky promise, he can keep moving forward. At least he tried convincing himself of that.

Some say true love has a way of finding its way back. Justice and Liam know better than to believe. That's up until the day they find themselves in a heated meeting.

She owns a new football team.

He's coming back from an injury and thirsty to prove the nation wrong.

Years of pent-up anger and hatred may fuel an epic second-chance love story or ruin both of them for good.

Audiobook review. I have read thousands of books and that’s not an exaggeration. When you’ve read this much, stories eventually start to feel familiar or recycled. Unfortunately, this was my experience.

This is a case of it’s not you, it’s me. The story is actually well written but nothing really struck me as unique or different. The elements that could have been leveraged, such as the mafia aspect, were left underdeveloped. This was a missed opportunity. Another was in the pacing. The antagonist of the story had this big role in building and setting up for a climax and when it came, I blinked and it was over.

Lacy Laurel is one of my favorite narrators. She did a great job injecting the story with a personality befitting our main characters. Her inflections, pace, tone, and pitch were great and she transitioned smoothly. Logan McAllister did a good job as well but had these odd pauses in his sentences periodically that made him sound almost robotic at times. Other than that, narration was solid.

Second chance romance

This was good stuff. There was not a lot of arguments between the main characters. They fought their issues together (for the most part) I enjoyed the characters. It kept my interest the whole time. Narration was great. I would recommend this book.

Second chance at true love.

Interesting. Fun. Steamy. Great listen. Mafia princess and superstar athlete. This was a great story, a fun listen. The story flowed pretty well, and the narrators meshed really well with the story. The chemistry between Justice and Li came through really well. And brought some extra oomph all around. Quite a captivating read/listen.

Really good narration

The narration of this book is pretty good, I always enjoy listening to Lacy Laurel, she has a great voice that brings the characters to life perfectly. Logan Mc Alister is also really good, I love his voice and his narration was perfect for the book.

In regards of the story, I couldn't get really well into it, I feel as if something was missing but I cannot point exactly what, I also didn't feel a chemistry between the main characters.
Thee story has a slow start, but around 30% into it starts to get better, and there were parts that I did enjoy.

Cute Story

I love Mafia romance! This is my first with the female character with ties to mafia and it was cute. I say cute because Mafia romance usually has a lot of violence but this one didn't. I don't need violence so didn't really bother me some might like it better. Two narrators is nice and I thought they both did a good job. Ironically I liked Logan McAllisters female voice more then his Male. His Male voice is so deep and growly but I'm not saying it's bad because it's not I just was blown away that he can take all the bass away to do a womans voice so well.

Liam and Justice!

While they were in college Liam and Justice fell in love however she was worried that the reputation of her family would ruin Liam’s chance at a professional football career. She loved her family and she loved Liam so she did what she thought was best and left Liam.

Years later her family is the proud owner and she is the manager of an expansion football team. They have signed Liam to be their new quarterback and if they can’t work through their pasts it could not only destroy his career but the team as well.

Liam and Justice have always belonged together however their journey is filled with drama, suspense and heat. I thought the narrators did a great job of bringing the story to life. 🎧 Audiobook Obsession
