Lizzie never expected to see Walker ever again, she certainly never expected him to be the one to come to her rescue when she is run off the road by a gunman. But just as their past is what neither of them remember, their current cases aren't either. Both cases take bizarre twists, but the most bizarre element is that both Lizzie and Walker are named on a target list....but who wants to take out both of them? And why?
I enjoyed joining Lizzie and Walker for this case and seeing them work through past hurts and current attraction, it's awesome to see them get a second chance when somebody else sabotaged their relationship first time.
I did guess who was behind the prison break, who was seeking retribution from both Walker and Lizzie and who the female "assistant" was, but I didn't see the connection to Walker's family, that was a great twist to the plot! I listened to this on Audible.
