About this listen

It's finally Kenneth Alexander and JeNelle Towson's wedding day. They have weathered so many trials to get to this point. Still, there is danger to be dealt with in the form of JeNelle's former husband and Kenneth's nemesis. Can anything else go wrong for them?

Kenneth's younger sister is finally ready to date again after the disastrous relationship she survived with her former fiancé. Now, Derrick Jackson, the famed basketball icon, is making it known that he wants her in his life...permanently. Still, what of her feelings for Derrick's best friend, Chuck Montgomery and his feelings for her? She is just as confused about the right path as is her other brother, Air Force jet fighter pilot Captain Benjamin Alexander. The woman he finally realized that he loves, his best female friend, US Navy Lieutenant Stacy Greene, has given birth to their daughter, Whitney Ivy. He expects to marry Stacy and make a life with her and Whitney Ivy. However, when he arrives at the hospital to take them home, Stacy has already left and accepted a secret deployment leaving Whitney Ivy behind for Benjamin to raise alone It is not Stacy's intention to ever see Benjamin and Whitney Ivy again.

It appears that three of the five Alexander offspring still have uncertain futures ahead of them.

Each book gives you an insight into another member of the family and it is written in such a way that it flows naturally and you don’t feel like it’s a separate book but a natural connection to the previous book. I don’t watch soaps on tv but I could imagine this would appeal to people who do. There is nothing better than following a story beyond one book. Kelly Hazen makes this so believable and draws you even more into the family.
