Story
A brilliantly funny, gripping novel from a born storyteller, The Parent Agency is an epic wish-fulfilment adventure for every child - and for the child in everyone. Barry said, a third time, "I wish I had better parents!" And then suddenly the entire room started to shake. Barry Bennett hates being called Barry. In fact it's number 2 on the list of things he blames his parents for, along with 1) 'being boring' and 3) 'always being tired'. But there is a world, not far from this one, where parents don't have children.

A great adventure
Frozen in Time is brilliant. It's like an Enid Blyton Famous Five story, only with 3 of the 5 having been catapulted into the modern world from the 1950s after being released from a cryogenic chamber buried in the garden. Twenty-first century Ben and Rachel get to meet their Great Aunt and Uncle (and their dog) and they all find themselves thrown into an adventure. There is a genuinely suspenseful plot and there are plenty of laughs and thought-provoking moments when 1950s Freddy and Polly are learning about the modern world. A really clever and enjoyable story for all ages.

absolutely super! !!!
As an adult I fancied listening to something different from the normal grown up heavy stuff. This was perfect for me to listen to whilst running and dog walking. A very engaging storyline with characters one could warm to. loved the 50s references and how the characters impacted on one another. I have bought some more ali sparkes books and am looking forward to my next run!
