I put off reading and listening to this book for so long because I was scared it was going to break me and I am kicking myself for that. As every Aly book, this was amazing. The writing, the character building, the emotions, heartbreak, twists and turns and the falling in love. What a beautiful story and im so so happy right now, my heart is full.

Narration wise Connor and Erin were fantastic, you both had me tearing up when you got emotional and you had me smiling and laughing so much. I know a lot of people don't like dual narration but this was a great dual narration.

This was such a brilliant story - fairly tugged at the old heartstrings 🥰🥲. Both narrators are superb.

I was pulled into this one almost straight away. Between the suspense and everything Eason and Bree were dealing with, I always wanted to know what was going to happen next.

I think what worked so well for me was that, despite how heavy the story is, it never felt hopeless. Watching two people who’d experienced so much loss slowly figure out how to move forward together felt really genuine. Throw three children into the mix, and I was completely sold. Their little found family ended up being my favourite part of the whole book.

The romance was a slower build but it suited the story. It never felt like the focus was just on the relationship, it was about rebuilding a life that looked completely different to the one either of them had imagined. I did work out one of the bigger twists before it was revealed, but it didn’t take away from my enjoyment of the story.
