About this listen

When Grant Hardy, Meltdown's lead singer, falls off the stage in the middle of a concert while under the influence, his record label has no choice but to step in and take control.

The solution is simple.

Send Grant to rehab and avoid a public relations nightmare by covering it up as a bad case of the flu. When the rehab facility's recommendation for extended treatment starts to affect the label's bottom line, they are forced to find an alternative solution - hire an in-house counselor for the duration of the tour.

There's just one problem. Grant Hardy isn't an addict.

Contains mature themes.

Really enjoyed the story, but the male narrator’s voice when speaking as the female was awful, spoils the whole book

Shame about the narrator

I have read the book and loved it. Bought the Audible to listen in the car. The female reader was good. The male voice was fine while portraying male characters, but my God, he was annoying and insulting while voicing the female characters. It would have been better if he just read it in his normal voice. Not sure if I can continue listening it is so annoying, especially as I like the story and characters so much.

Loved the story, hate the male voice

I enjoyed the book but it is very low on angst, although there is some suspense and the twist is unexpected.

Light suspense
