This trilogy felt like three different genres. But the first two had some mystery and build up of tension. All that was basically wrapped up at the very beginning of this book, leaving only the aftermath and a sort of new beginning. This book had lower stakes than the previous books, and so the story moved a little slower. But it was a nice conclusion to the trilogy!

So this is a review of the whole trilogy.
First book is a basic CR with a hollywood movie star and a drunken cop who finds romance during a difficult situation. She's filming a movie about a "true crime" and plays the felled heroine and the cop she falls is intimately connected.
Book 2 is the classic romantic push-pull with a tragic twist at the end.
Book 3 is the HEA

Overall I liked the overall story across the trilogy. Its not reinventing the wheel but delivers a well written addition to the trope.

I honestly loved everything about it…even the Male leads “female” voice. It made me smile!

Really struggled with this one. Disappointing. Felt very dragged out. I sped up this audio just to get it over with quicker.
