This stuck with me way longer than I thought it would. I always hope in these stories that you'll see the person who remembers wooing their partner back so in essence you get to watch them fall in love. This doesn't happen here, but is honestly more realistic than many interpretations. I loved the characters and story. The only thing that brought it down was repeated tellings of how they met and first dates. First meeting is told twice and shown once. Showing would have been enough and it's like the author couldn't decide, but it's not a deal breaker.

While I liked this story - it's an original and interesting idea - I found the writing and naration a little over done on the angst often enough to become slightly irritating. However, given the traumatic nature of the storyline I can forgive that. However, being a geek in this respect, I can never forgive a writer who does not understand basic grammar. Unfortunately grammatical mistakes, including a major double negative faux pas are to be found throughout this novel which could do with better editing. Being a few chapters shorter would sharpen it up too. Don't get me wrong though, this book is definitely worth a listen. The author, who I had not come across before, is a promising writer and I will be interested to see what she does in the future.

Lori prince was amazing on bringing the book to life my heart was everywhere in this book. and the story was beautiful did not see some parts coming and loved it
