Summary
Amaranthe Lokdon survives her reckless plan to destroy the enemy’s weapon-filled super aircraft, only to learn that thousands of people perished when it crash-landed. Half of her team is missing or dead. Meanwhile, the fighting in the capital has escalated, the Imperial Barracks have been taken by a pretender, and a deadly new danger threatens the populace.
Amaranthe’s hopes of returning Emperor Sespian to the throne and bringing peace to the empire are dwindling by the hour. To make matters worse, her strongest ally - and closest friend - has been captured and is under a powerful wizard’s control. If she can’t figure out a way to free Sicarius, he may kill them all when they meet next.

Lots going on, and lots of loose ends tied up with this book, hopefully there will be more books coming in this series. This have great plots and just brilliant characters in then.

Winners and Losers
The Imperial Barracks have fallen.
Sicarius is captured and has his mind controlled by Kor Nas, a Nurian Practitioner. Amaranthe, Books and Akstyre are also captured by Lord Admiral Starcrest.
However, Amaranthe, not one to take things lying down, is soon free and on the hunt to free Sicarius and to recapture the Imperial Barracks, with the help of Lord Admiral Starcrest, but not everyone will survive.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the Emeror's Edge and will be quite sad when it ends. However, as Audible is taking time to record the final two books, I guess it will be a while yet!

great series can we have the last 2 books please
These last 2 stories have been full of excitement and drama, and complete the saga. But the temptation of 2 more written but not recorded makes the waiting difficult.

Gripping all the way to the end
The whole set of these books gripped me from the very beginning and this book didn’t disappoint one bit.

Great Series
Another great Series by Lindsay. Plenty of action, believable characters and enthralling story lines. Narration first class as usual. I thoroughly enjoyed every book in this Series and was glad to see characters from previous Series being included.
