Adopted siblings. This is the middle book in a trilogy. It most definitely can be read as a standalone and it’s the last book I’ve read (I’ve not read them in sequence). Each one is a messy, dark romance.

When life deals you a bad hand, the people around are what saves you. Lucy has never had a loving family. Her mum used to leave her in the worst place but this time she isn’t coming back. When an explosion alerts the authorities to her presence, Lucy is taken into care.

Damiano is there the day of the explosion with his sister. Unfortunately his sister doesn’t make it but he feels a strong need to protect Lucy.

When the two of them end up at the children’s home, Damiano tells everyone Lucy is her sister. They get adopted together making them adopted siblings.

Keeping the ones you love close can be deadly, especially in the mafia. Can Damiano and Lucy keep playing at sibling? One deadly decision could pull them both down but being true to themselves isn’t an option.

I listen to the audiobook and really enjoyed the story this way. There’s a lot of yearning for more in this book and Lucy only has Damiano.

At 12 Damianos life changed leaving him and orphan with his new friend Lucy, getting adopted by the Barones, they only wanted a son by Damiano wouldnt let Lucy be left behind so told them she was her sister, now their growing bond that changed i to obsession is about to derail when Lucys set to be married Damiano has a choice to let her go or claim what's his. Engaging steamy read, fast paced v-card heroine- wish hero was to add to the obsession route.

This is such a great, suspenseful and intriguing story with some sinister vibes. The narrators are very talented and did a beautiful job. This is Lucy and Damiano’s story. It was complicated, troubled but still beautiful. They both experienced something traumatic together as children and have a seriously strong bond with each other. Then they are adopted as “siblings” into a mafia family. They are secretly in love and she’s supposed to have an arranged marriage with someone else. No way he’s going to let that happen. I love how beautifully devoted they are to each other. Their relationship does come with complications, but it’s meant to be.

Forbidden Vow is the second book in the Ruthless Arrangement series by Lilith Vincent, as I have read the book already to be able to listen to it was an amazing experience and I really loved the voices to them. It suited the book and the story so well to make it even more alive in my head. They made it so much better for me

This book is action packed, filled with yearning and all the drama you could ask for, spice, the twist and turns it’s litterly soo good as anything else this author writes.

Damiano is the perfect blend of protectiveness, obsession and devoted. The perfect blend to a male MC in my eyes.

Lucy oh that strength that woman posses just makes me want to root for her from day one.

The forbidden aspect and messiness of their relationship led to intense chemistry, obstacles, and allot of drama like the perfect mafia read.
