I really appreciate Peter Harts approach to his subject matter. He deals very sensitively with the protagonist’s of his story and I sense he felt a great duty to honour the men of the DLI which he achieved beautifully. It’s a wonderful read and the characters involved are very well portrayed. Insightful and well researched it’s well worth a listen.

As someone from Durham, the affinity to the DLI is incredibly strong, but hearing stories in the words of those brave men (from Durham but also around the country who joined the DLI) really brought home the bravery of these men.

It was an excellent listen.
