About this listen

The profound sequel to Firefly Lane, now a major Netflix series starring Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke. From Kristin Hannah, the bestselling author of The Four Winds and The Nightingale.

Fly Away is the heartrending story of three women who have lost their way and need each other – plus a miracle – to transform their lives . . .

Tully Hart, a celebrity news reporter is spiralling downward after the sudden loss of her best friend Kate.

Consumed with guilt, Tully and Kate's daughter, Marah, grapple with their past mistakes. Meanwhile, Cloud, Tully's mother, endeavours to alleviate the burden. For them to find their way back, forgiveness becomes their only hope.

And then something momentous happens – something which causes each one of them to realize what they’ve done, and what they have become . . .

This audiobook also contains a reading group guide with Kristin Hannah.

Just dull and depressing. missed the joy and spark of firefly Lane. Whimsical, not in a good way.

Brings you closer to Kate and Tully but also cloud/Dorothy. It was good to hear her side of the story and Marah’s!

Wow this was just brilliant. I was a little worried as although I loved Firefly Lane I’ve since watched the brilliant TV series and this obviously deviates from the novel. So I was worried I would struggle to get back in synch with these firefly lane characters. But Kristin Hannah effortless weaves us back into their world and I have to say I haven’t been hooked on a book like I was hooked on this one for a little while. Shed some tears towards the end… and felt very sad to be saying goodbye to the family on the final listen

Captivating

Great follow on from Firefly Lane completing the story. So much back story. Very well written and kept me engaged throughout

Loved it!

I listened to Fly Away straight after Firefly Lane which, with hindsight, was not the best idea. There is quite a lot of repetition between the two books (great if you need a recap but unnecessary when you don’t). Whilst I enjoyed aspects of Fly Away it wasn’t as engaging or interesting as Fire Fly Lane and the content was a lot darker. I was happy to reach the end but with the first book I didn’t want it to end.

Darker and less engaging than Fire Fly Lane
