With friends like that.....
Nice, fun, cozy mystery with a lot of interesting characters. Not a lot on the work of doing, but lots about the ghosts and the murder that Alabama happened upon and the scare tactics used on her. All in all, a light, relaxing read that I was fortunate to get as Whispersync on the cheap. The narrator did really well, but I'm one of those who needs to hear it at a faster speed.

Wasn't a fan of the narrator
The story was good. The narrator was not. I struggled through this book because of that.

Flip That Haunted House without enough ghosts
Alabama Hargrove has a track record of failed business schemes and buying a old house without even doing a thorough walk through or getting inspections first is her most recent strategy plan. So without any good sense she persuades herself she can flip this money pit house.
This could have been a much better story if Alabama was less annoying. I don't see in the end anything about her having success with this flip. The narrator was as annoying as Alabama Hargrove was. Her narration of males is atrocious, she reads in stilted way that sounds hollow with pauses that are too long and at inappropriate. It was hard to tell if the narrator ruined a fairly good book or the book just isn't that interesting.

No one can be this dumb.
I really tried, but the female lead is so clueless it is annoying. Cute premise and hoped for an enjoyable story. But really .....buying a house to flip with no inspection and no experience at home repair...really. I usually only rate books and don't write reviews. But this is too much. Rating very misleading. I'm returning it.

The story and the protagonist are terrible
The main character is stupid m, naive, and horny. The story spends way too much time of her fixing the house vs. actual investigating a mystery. The inner dialogues could be funny sometimes, but it is oftenly not. The mystery was simple and not enfaging at all. The best thing about this is the narrator. Yet, it is competent at best

Disappointed
Would you try another book from Rose Pressey and/or Margie Lenhart?
I have already purchased many of Rose Pressey's book and have found them to be entertaining. Flip that Haunted House did not achieve her usual standards. It just isn't well written and it did not hold my attention.
What was most disappointing about Rose Pressey’s story?
The plot! The main character!
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Margie Lenhart?
Suzanne Cerreta is one of my favorite narrators.
Any additional comments?
Check out her other books, don't let this one disappointment lead you away from this author.

Just okay
Overall, this book mainly features weak writing and plot, but not a bad "day at the beach" time killer.

Fun story to hear
The beginning chapters were very slow but my patience encouraged me to keep listening and I'm glad I did. I really enjoyed the latter half because it became suspenseful.
