The stunning YA debut from internationally best-selling author Cecelia Ahern.

Celestine North lives a perfect life. She's a model daughter and sister, she's well liked by her classmates and teachers and she's dating the impossibly charming Art Crevan. But then Celestine encounters a situation in which she makes an instinctive decision. She breaks a rule and now faces life-changing repercussions. She could be imprisoned. She could be branded. She could be found Flawed.

In this stunning novel, best-selling author Cecelia Ahern depicts a society in which perfection is paramount and mistakes are punished. And where one young woman decides to take a stand that could cost her everything.

this book had me gripped

This book had me gripped from the beginning. It gave me chills and was a harsh story. I couldn't stop thinking about this book when I was busy with other tasks. This story will live with me in my mind for a long time.

Love, Love, Love!!!

I was gripped the whole way through such a brilliant story definitely one of Cecelia's best. Only problem is I don't think I can wait a whole year for the sequel!!

Great idea but...

I thought the ending was disappointing leaving too much unresolved and sorry but if I hear the phrase 'my heart was racing in my chest' once more I might scream 😊 otherwise really good concept

Oh dear!

very disappointed with this book. I normally love Cecelia Ahern, but I really struggled with this & found the narrative annoying. 🙁

Difficult read, but sorry, did not like it.

Would you try another book written by Cecelia Ahern or narrated by Aysha Kala?

I have read many of her other books, and enjoyed them to varying degrees. PS I Love you, loved it, but she normally is not a difficult read.

Would you be willing to try another book from Cecelia Ahern? Why or why not?

Yes, I have downloaded the sequel to this one. Despite not liking the book, it was compelling to get to the end, albeit that was poor, so I will persevere with Perfect. But yes, of course I will try others.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

It was OK. Didn't like her interpretation of some of the characters, but the main character was OK.

Did Flawed inspire you to do anything?

No. Thank God. A very silly storyline.

Any additional comments?

Mixed emotions. I didn't like the description of the cruelty, although appreciate it was pivotal to the story; however, I don't expect this from a book by Aherne. I kept going to the end just to see what would happen, but was shocked how suddenly it finished, leaving it up in the air. Let's see what Perfect doers.

Read like a copy

Uninspiring and droned on in predictable fashion. Disappointed as the author is normally fairly accomplished, but thus I could not recommend in her collection.

Bring on the movie!

I like the fact that this is a completely new idea which is a very refreshing thing nowadays. Well read (wasn't sure at first but found the reader's you'd voice totally fitted the story). Bring on the movie...

It took me two attempts

I confess that my first attempt at listening to this book failed, however after a long gap I tried again and persevered - not sure I will read the next book though?

a good listen

It was great. It was gripping and very well read. The only reason it lost a star was because it was a little predictable, being so like the hunger games. Maybe if I'd read this first...
Also it struck me instantly that as people with a fully functioning conscience, if they stuck by their innate understanding of right and wrong they would not be ashamed of/judgemental about being branded flawed and so the verdict would cease to hold any real power over society
