Summary

After a whirlwind romance, Taryn Young is preparing to board a plane at Houston International Airport, bound for a dream honeymoon, when a bomb decimates the terminal. Injured but still alive, she awakens to discover her husband is missing, and they're both considered prime suspects in the attack. Further, the FBI is convinced her husband isn't who he appears to be. Agent Grayson Hall's number-one priority is to catch those responsible for the day's act of terror.

All evidence is pointing to Taryn and her new husband, but his instinct tells him her pleas of innocence are genuine. Is her naiveté just for show, or could she truly be another victim of a master scheme, possibly linked to the software she recently developed for her company?

With both their lives and reputations on the line, and the media outcry for justice increasing with each passing minute, Taryn and Grayson have no choice but to trust one another...and pray they can uncover the truth before they become two more casualties.

A STRANGE MIX

I found this an interesting start and overall an ok storyline. However, the introduction of God, prayer and Jesus into the script spoilt it for me. Did not feel it gelled with the plot and was an irrelevance artificially introduced that spoilt the book for me.

Excellent

I enjoyed the story, the suspense, emotions and humour. Great characters, I cannot chose between them, although Buddy and Uncle Joe are in the lead.

The first book in decades where I have not worked out who-done-it before the Author reveals the baddie. In fact I was so engrossed in the novel that I listened to it in one session.

Well done DiAnn Mills, Suzy Jackson and Therese Plummer.

This story is excellent, the characters are well done, and the storyline is very good. Somehow the recorded books version that I got was on edited, and all of the faux pas's that the narrator made were included. If those could be taken out this would have a five star rating.

What an amazing God we serve

Thank You DiAnn for the lovely story, that was not ashamed to mention Jesus. The story was spellbinding and I would never in a million of years guessed the ending. May God bless you with many more such stories. The narrator was very convincing with her delivery and added to the atmosphere.

This murder intrigue is a page-turner! Loved it!

The multiple layers in this book will keep you guessing until the very end! Great narration, too. Taryn is a shy, genius socially inept software designer innocently lured into the web of death and intrigue. It starts with a airport bombing, then moving at light speed. It’s hard to put the book down. The reader will guess and re-guess many times who the bad guy is. For that fact alone I could not put the book down. A murder mystery you will love!

Predictable and flat

No character development. I don’t understand these Christian fiction romance books. Two one-dimensional, reactionary characters fall for each other. Ok. I guess. Neither had a personality to speak of, and fell for each other in a high adrenaline situation. All the characters were predictable, and unrealistic. I don’t know much about the FBI, but I’m positive they wouldn’t have this woman involved at all, much less to the extent she was. And the surprise ending wasn’t much of a surprise. When you have a limited number of characters, and either kill them off or have them arrested, there was only one choice left, really. Had to speed the audio to double time just to get through it. If it wasn’t for book club, would have just skipped to end.
