A marriage forged in battle.

Alexei Dvorkin has come a long way since being turned into a metahuman, and all he wants to do is marry the man he loves. A wedding is easy, but it’s the honeymoon where his and Sean’s past unexpectedly catches up with them.

All Sean Delaney wanted was a romantic honeymoon with his new husband. When he and Alexei stumble into a fellow operative’s mission on a luxury gambling resort island, they get more than they bargained for in their newly-minted civilian lives.

Forced to choose between staying and joining the mission or leaving to stay safe and postpone their honeymoon, Alexei and Sean make the only decision they can—to fight.

I did a bad, bad thing... So, back when I read this novella the first time, I had only read the first 3 books in the series, despite the warning that there'd be spoilers. And really, after listening to it now that I've finished the other books in the series, I can assure you, it's even better if you read or better yet, listen to all the books in order.

This installment was chockful with action, the ensemble cast we've all come to love while reading The Metahuman Files, Alexei and Sean's wedding, and the uber sexytimes between the newlyweds. Never a dull moment with these guys. LOL

Greg Boudreaux is as amazing as always, and I can't get enough of his performance in this series. He really brought the whole team to life for me and elevated what was already a wonderful book right into the stratosphere.

Highly recommendable!

Alexei & Sean FTW!!!

OMG! In this amazing short story we witnessed the most expected and well deserved romantic wedding of Alexei and Sean and a very eventful, full of action and danger, Honeymoon. A very enjoyable book 3 in the Metahuman Files with a fantastic performance made by Mr Boudreaux.

*Sigh* A wedding and a Honeymoon *Sigh*

This one really needs you to have read Out of the Ashes, as that deals with Sean and Alexei sorting out a difficult stage in their relationship in this they are solid, and getting married. Things kick off once they get to their honeymoon destination.
Very fast and action filled.
Great narration and the British accents are spot on.

Exciting quick read

Sean and Alexei have long been two of my favorite metahumans. I love Jamie and Kyle, but Sean and Alexei are right up there with them as far as relationship and dedication in my opinion. The duo have finally put the trauma of Boston behind them, and are set to get married and have their happily ever after. Yeah, right. There is no rest for the weary - or the newly married - and Sean's old enemies rear their ugly heads on the couple's honeymoon. Will Sean and Alexei enjoy their honeymoon or join the fight? If you've read/listened to any of the Metahuman books, you know the answer. This is a highly entertaining, action-packed, dramatic, high-stakes adventure. I loved seeing members of Alpha team temporarily reactivated to deal with old enemies and continue the fight to bring them to justice, and I love Liam's sardonic sense of humor.

The narration is excellent, as always.

I received a free copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

Absolutely loved it!
