About this listen

We've seen the Devil's Night crew get spooky. Now, let's see them get into the spirit....

The clock at St. Killian’s chimes as whispers float in the dark staircase above. Snow falls from the black sky beyond the windows, and candles glow - the flames lighting up the longest night of the year.

Devil’s Night isn’t the only holiday we celebrate. Tonight, we’re pulling on a different mask.

Some call it Midwinter.

Others call it Yule.

We call it Fire Night.

Fire Night is a 28,000-word Devil’s Night holiday novella suitable for listeners ages 18 and up. It takes place 10 months prior to the epilogue in Nightfall and is told from Kai's, Damon's, Will's, and Michael's points of view.

I started this series after reading Punk 57 (which I loved and definitely recommend listening/reading before devils night)
The first book I did struggle to get into, just didn't seem to appeal to me, didn't really like the characters too much or how I envisaged the story might go.....But, I gave it the benefit of my doubt and I am so glad I did, by the end of the book I was enthralled and hooked.
Over the whole series the character development is superb and i came to love them all individually and as a group, especially Damon and Will. The story throughout was exciting, unpredictable, emotional and at times heartwarming.
The series all got pulled together brilliantly at the end but did leave me wanting more....please!
perhaps more about Alex and Aydin or Mads and Octavia as they grow up.
Regardless, I will without doubt revisit the devils night series again. Thank you Penelope Douglas

didn't want the series to come to an end

I’ve loved the whole series. It’s this magical little world inside my head now. I’m obsessed! Really enjoyed that little epilogue at the end. I feel like Penelope covered every lose end so my mind is fully satisfied for the story to end where it has now :)

Loved it

It was a good little story. I really enjoyed the possibility to se how life had evolved.
I just wanted this to be a full book and not a short (to short) novella.
I'm going to miss the universe these books have let me enjoy. But that's the risk we take when we read books, some of them grabs hold of you and you miss them when they leave.

A beautiful novella
