Summary

Where there's smoke, there's fire!

After appearing on a reality dating show, Firefighter Cassidy Marcel has a hard time fitting back into her routine. The other firefighters tease her; her captain puts her back on probation. On top of that, she finds a stack of fan mail with more than a few threatening letters. But things get even more challenging when she finds something unusual at a fire. Can she convince Jordan to help her?

Detective Jordan Graves is knee-deep in a child abduction case when he's tasked with handling Cassidy's stalker. Feeling frustrated that he has to waste time watching her house, he's even more annoyed when she calls and asks him to investigate a fire, but when her case appears to collide with his, he sees a new side of her - one he likes but that reminds him of his painful past. Will he be able to overcome his pain, or will their attraction go up in flames?

Suspense and romance

Fire Games is full of suspense, drama, and romance...the kind of book you just can’t put down. It is well written and flows nicely. The characters are vivid and realistic. The faith aspect is refreshing and has been a great reminder that God’s timing is perfect.

Romantic Suspense and Clean Romance!

This is the first novella in The Men of Fire Beach Series, a romantic suspense, and clean romance. The story is intriguing and captivating. The storyline is well developed and suspenseful. I like Cassidy (a firefighter), and Jordan (a detective). The secondary characters are interesting. The author, Lorana Hoopes, is also the narrator of this story. She did a great job with the narration. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listen to the next book in the Series, Lost Memories and New Beginnings.

Firefighter romance

This was a great firefighter romance with a twist, Cassidy is a female firefighter. Jordan is your normal, tough police officer who is commitment phobic. He is working to keep Cassidy safe from a stalker, and she is trying to breaking down his barriers. Great start to this series.

Great book!

This audiobook was a great listen! The author was also the narrator and she did a fantastic job!!! The characters had distinct voices and the male voices were low enough to tell they were suppose to be a male character. I’m not a fan of Christian stories but this storyline is full of suspense and not heavy on religious point of view. I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read the next one in the series!

Love the name!

This is a nice suspense story. The characters are fun and intriguing. This was a first for me by Ms. Hoopes but I look forward to listening to the next in this series. It had one hiccup of a repeated line near the end. And Occasionally, I had a hard time telling when it switched from one character voice to another, but it was still well done and an enjoyable read.

Suspense and romance

Cassidy was introduced in the Cowboy’s Reality Bride as a contestant on the show. In this book Cassidy gets another shot at love. Not as a contestant on a reality show but back in the real reality of her life. When a stalker starts escalating toward Cassidy, Cassidy goes to the police. There she meets Jordan. Jordan has had his own difficulties with love. But between the stalker and a suspicious fire Jordan and Cassidy get thrown together. This is a sweet, clean, Christian romance.

Fire department Police department look after each other

This suspense takes place in Fire Beach, a small town in Illinois. The story weaves together the local departments and together they solve two crimes while two characters learn to give love a chance. The characters are like able and believable. I enjoy the way the author takes a character from a previous book, Cassidy, and gives us what happens next. A great listen for those who enjoy suspense with a budding romance weaved in.

Writer not narrator !

I was excited to start a new series having just finished several by a couple of different artist like Eason , Daley an Petrey. This is probably a better book in print as it was difficult to get past narrator. It was fine in character I guess but very monotone really like reading a book. I guess after all the books I’ve listen to I was expecting more. I’m not sure if I will continue with this series or not.

Story line ok..

I loved the story, however, the author should have had someone else read it. The narration was very monotone.
