Summary

Once upon a time, she was Robyn Hart, a dogged journalist covering an arson case who saw too much and wasn't afraid to expose it. But that courage nearly cost Robyn her life. Now under the safety of the Witness Protection program, she has a new identity - Carly Quinn - with a new job in a new city. As she struggles to make the best of her new life in Boston, the terror of the past still lingers, and Carly lives in fear that her enemies will find her.

Although she tries to wall herself off from the world, one determined man breaks through her defenses - successful attorney Ryan Cornell. Even though Carly yearns to give him her heart, she doesn’t know if she can. While loving him offers a happiness she thought she'd lost forever, trusting him could cost her everything.

Riveting, emotionally charged, and full of memorable characters, Finger Prints exemplifies the extraordinary storytelling that listeners love from Delinsky.

Keeps you in suspense!!

I enjoyed this book immensely. There was love, suspense, mystery and intrigue. I didn’t want the story to end. Thank you Mrs Delinsky for another well written book.

Story a bit tedious

I know some people like a book full of graphic sex, but not me. There was a little story in between Loya and Loya of very descriptive sex. I fast forwarded band got through the story much faster. I felt the story was extremely predictable. The characters were predictable as well.

no go

I really struggled to listen to this book. I did not like the character Ryan at all. He was too intrusive, controlling and needy from the start. It was a huge turn off from the story the way he was portrayed throughout. disappointed.

So good!!

This was my first Barbara Delinsky book, and I thoroughly enjoyed it!! At first I wanted it to hurry along and get with it, but then I just got lost in the story and fell in love with the characters!! Seriously loved everything about it! Even though Carly was a little weepy at the beginning, she had reason to be, and it really worked nicely with the strong Ryan at her side! As much as I love a strong woman character, it annoys the hell out of me when they try to act like bad ass men! ugh! And Ryan wasn't too overbearing, he was kind and sweet! Just loved Sam too! Great supporting characters, great main characters and story, just loved it!!

Not for me

Anyone else figure it out way too soon? I got to chapter 9 I had to fast forward because why bother when I knew what was going to happen. A little finesse or a few clever twists or turns, heck one would have made the difference. The culprits were so glaringly obvious that I listened (audiobook version) at double speed just to get through it. I skipped some as I was truly bored and annoyed. Not one single surprise. Not one. I’ve enjoyed this author before, but for me this was a huge let down.

Bleh.

I typically enjoy a Barbara Delinsky‘s newer books but this one was a dud. The beginning was super slow-moving and I just could not connect to the main characters. The characteristics the book espouses of a “good woman” definitely shows its age and therefore really grates - as does the narrator’s voice.

I couldn’t finish this one. After a few hours of slogging through it, I skipped ahead to the epilogue. I just cannot recommend it.
