About this listen

Control. That’s where I excel.

Everything in my life is rigidly planned, nothing ever takes me by surprise, until her.

Wren Jacobs.

I swear the woman was put on earth to drive me insane. She's too young, too beautiful, my daughter's best friend, and one of my best friend’s daughters. In other words, completely off limits.

And for one weekend she's the art curator assigned to help me pick up my newest painting.

My only job is keep my hands off the forbidden woman almost twenty years my junior. Every whisper of Daddy Wilson that falls from her lips drives me closer to forgetting my rules and realizing this nightmare might be the fantasy I need for the night.

Even if one night could be enough, will everyone finding out destroy it all?

I absolutely fell in love with Wren and Daddy Wilson in this audiobook! The teasing that took place in The Fall Out had me hoping for more between these two characters (prior to listening to this, I'd only listened to TFO, so I didn't know where the series was headed), and was so psyched that their story was coming to life, and in audio format with one of my favourite narrators.

I loved the push and pull between Daddy Wilson and Wren. This is truly a case of opposites attract, and I was here for it. Rigid, set in his ways Tom Wilson falling for Wren - a true boss-lady who takes nothing from no-one - was such a sweet yet deliciously spicy listen that I just ate up. There's something about the forbidden, age gap romance that steals me away, and add in SebYo saying "baby girl"? Melted. Puddle. Mush.

I loved the inclusion of a classic winter trope of being snowed in - I'm sorry, but one of the greatest plot devices invented for wintery weather, imo - and Daddy Wilson throwing all caution to the wind was just *fans self*.

This was perfectly cast. York was the absolute best choice for Wilson, bringing the gruff head coach to life and really injecting all the emotions into his performance, and he just has this way of softening a character when he falls in love. Granda is a new to me narrator, but I absolutely loved her as Wren, bringing the confident and passionate FMC to life and really giving her depth and character. Together they're fantastic, and I cannot wait to hear not only more from them as narrators, but more audiobooks in the series.

I thoroughly enjoyed this. I enjoyed the fact that is wasn't very drawn out. I always love a good age gap / best friend's dad because I really love seeing how the couple will "grovel" to get everyone's blessing. I love the MMC / FMC having to declare their love.

Jenni's writing is so good. I've loved every book I've read from her.

Can't wait to jump into book 5!
