Summary

USA TODAY BEST SELLER

New from the New York Times Best-selling Author of The Ex Games and The Private Club

Finding My Prince Charming is book one of a two book contemporary romance series.

Can a Playboy Prince ever be tamed?

When Lola Franklin decided to study abroad she never anticipated embarking on a whirlwind weekend romance with a hot guy before classes started.

And she certainly never counted on the hot guy being her new professor. Or a Prince. Or the biggest asshole she had ever met.

Xavier Van Romerius is the playboy Prince of Europe and he loves his life. He doesn't do relationships, and never wants to get married. But when he sees Lola Franklin flirting with his little brother Sebastian, he realizes that maybe he needs to rethink his ideas about love before the wrong Prince gets the girl.

Recommended for readers age 18 and over, due to mature content.

Not your typical Prince Charming!

This is definitely not your fairytale prince charming story! This involves a dirty talking, hot and sexy as sin prince named Xavier! He has his eyes set on Lola to have her for one night to get her out of his system. Lola is very hesitant at first but her best friend and her are studying abroad so why not, right. Well after an explosive one night stand, little does Lola know that she will be facing this hot stranger once again!! This is a wonderful, hot story with all kinds of twists and turns! This is one Prince that will shock you!!

Prince jerk

What did you like best about Finding My Prince Charming? What did you like least?

At first I thought it would b a cute story, but as it b came obvious that the H was the most hateful, rude and cold person that I'd ever seen as hell of a romanc I began to tire of the story.

What was most disappointing about J. S. Cooper’s story?

That I realized the last 10 minutes of the story there was going to be nothing resolved, a cliffhanger! I don't even care to find out how this dreadful story ends!

What about Tanya Stevens’s performance did you like?

Her narration was fine.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Definitely not!

Any additional comments?

I hate it when books are a series or a continuation....I wish Audible would let the reader know this, so we could decide whether we want to risk buying the book and having to wait however long til the conclusion of the next book comes out! But like I said this will be one that I will not be buying the 2nd book!

Dull and annoying.

I was very disappointed with this book. The theme of the story was cute but the character development was disappointing. The two main characters were dull and flat. The heroine’s girlfriend was ridiculous. The narrator was horrible. If her narration was more lively the ho hum story would have been more entertaining.

Rape-ish, Abusive, Flat Characters- Awful.

I anticipated reading fluff when I downloaded this book. I was not expecting the cure for cancer, I promise. Unfortunately, this book is exceedingly terrible. It reads like a poorly written story by a 9th grader. There is practically no character development, I can't really find much plot development either and the relationships between the characters are abusive, cheap, inflammatory, and poorly done. Even the sexual encounters are flat and dull. It all seems more like date rape and the discussions about women who behave like whores is downright repugnant. It reads like a 9th grader's round table of insults in the late 1980's. Pure garbage. I think Audible should have paid me to listen to this one.

The worst book I've ever experienced

If this author thinks this is romantic, then they need to seek counseling. None of the characters are likable in any way. Lola is naive and stubborn, which results in her making really stupid decisions, and because she doesn't reflect upon them, she makes them over and over again. Anne, her best friend, is just ditzy, and makes me wonder why Lola would ever be friends with this self-centered idiot. Xavier is nothing like a prince at all. There is NO WAY that someone raised to be a future king would ever be as irresponsible, ignoble, and downright rude in ALL situations as this guy is. Nothing about the situations in this book are realistic. On top of that, there is no consistency among any of the characters, almost as if all of them are bipolar! One moment they say one thing, then two lines later within the same conversation they say the exact opposite. Add to that the fact that every single character in this book exhibits the emotional control of toddlers. Xavier ruthlessly pursues Lola, taking kisses from her and forcing her to grope him, and no matter how many times she says no, he keeps doing it because "he can see in her eyes that she wants him." In case you didn't know, these kinds of actions are called rape! These characters never come to trust each other, but seem to stay together simply because their lust for each other is stronger than any sense of love for themselves or for any sense of reason or even self-preservation. This book is NOT romance. This is a very clear example of emotional and sexual abuse. Do not get this book, and more so, I would recommend that Audible remove it and the sequels from its library.

By the way, yes, there is a cliffhanger, in an attempt to force you to get the second book if you want to find out how it ends. I did listen to it for a while, hoping that this would be some kind of 'heroine tames the beastʻ kind of ending, but it wasn't. Instead, Xavier, who really is a beast, ends up indoctrinating Lola into an even deeper and darker world of emotional and sexual abuse, with the full compliance of all of his other royal and apparently emotionally abusive family and friends. I couldn't get through it and finally had to delete it out of disgust. I honestly think this author hates all men and women, and just figured that if they wrote some steamy sex scenes, that alone would be enough to make it sell. Don't let this author continue to get away with that.

Accent was rich and alluring . .

For Lola to not be looking for Prince Charming, he seems to have fallen in her lap. He just was not so charming. He was sexy hot, but his behavior was appalling. The fact that she kept going along with it was telling me her self worth levels. I really liked Sebatian. Xavier took some time to acclimate to. Anna was just too much for me.

The foreign accent of the princes and classmate was alluring, but the rest of the audio had issues. There did not feel like enough passion was put in to the work. It just felt blah. But when compared to the other two books of the series this was by far the best narration of the three different narrators. This narrator seemed to have listen to the words and applied accents the correct characters,
